It’s a Black Thing You Wouldn’t Understand: An Introduction

As a Black person, there are certain things that I experience that my non-Black friends and family just don’t get. It’s not that they’re not trying to understand, it’s just that they don’t have the lived experience to truly comprehend what it’s like to be Black in America.

This is why I created the “It’s a Black Thing You Wouldn’t Understand” series. I wanted to share my experiences with my friends and family in a way that they could relate to. I wanted them to understand the challenges that I face, the joys that I experience, and the unique perspective that I have on the world.

I hope that this series will help to bridge the gap between Black and non-Black people. I hope that it will create a better understanding of each other’s cultures and experiences. And I hope that it will lead to more empathy and understanding in the world.

In this series, I’ll be sharing stories about my life as a Black woman. I’ll talk about the things that I’ve experienced, the things that I’ve learned, and the things that I’m still trying to figure out. I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on current events, pop culture, and social issues.
